In order to get people in your establishment, you've got to be cool and innovative with your gimmicks. Here in Malate, there are so many kinds of gimmicks used by the owners that would attract the customers. Two of the crowded bars here are the Library and Bassilica. Why? They offer not just only food and drinks but also sing-along. Not just any kind of sing-along, you've got to be cool and game. The hosts of the show are usually gays and a woman. And when your name is called, be prepared with their jokes that may embarrass you. And if it's time for you to sing, be sure you have the voice or else...be ready for the insults. But don't take it too personally, it's their job to laugh at you and of course entertain you. Believe me, I've been there once.
Library and Bassilica have their different themes and gimmicks everyday. Like there would be impersonation, contests, discos and of course, sing-along.
So why don't you drop by and try singing in front of the people, being laughed and applauded later.
