Citron Rouge
Janis Piopongco

Beware you wine and cocktail lovers out there! A new wine and cocktail lounge has opened along Pasay Road. The Citron Rouge, a french term for Red Lemon is currently having its dry run, it opened this month. They are planning to have their grand opening sometime in September.

This wine and cocktail lounge owned by a Belgian displays a European concept of design. The ambiance is chic and cozy and mysterious. Mysterious because it's a dark place and the only dimly lit area is the bar. It's cozy because there are available couches and the arrangement of the tables and chairs seems to attract private conversations among the customers. The whole atmosphere is chic becasue their designs are very unique and attractive. The color of their walls is red, they have abstract paintings that are eyecatching. Another unique fact was that the employees themsleves contributed to the "look" of the place.

Andrea Lazar, a Hotel and Restaurant Management graduate of St. Paul Manila, was the one who thought of a design for the menus, tables and chairs. The menu covers are wrapped in "furry" material that have animal prints like the skin of zebras and dalmatians ... totally hip and cool!

This is just an introduction. The night is young! Stay up for more updates on this new hangout! The party has just begun!
