Ortigas

Once famous for its serene river, Pasig City has long outgrown its reputation from the main sea fare passage during the colonial times to the contemporary night spot that it is now. And the focus deviated from its now stinking river to the lively beat of its commercial area, Ortigas.

SM Megamall, with its herculean structure, is not limited to various boutiques and shops. Now merging other aspects of entertainment, the mall has incorporated a bowling and billiards center that plays upbeat music, drawing crowds from all ages. Moreover, among the different food establishments inside the mall, one serves Filipino dishes in a platter laid with a banana leaf. Enjoy the sumptuous food while the waiters and the cooks serenade the customers.

A stone throw's away from the mall is St. Francis Square where different bars, cafes, and fine restaurants are assembled in an island between criss-crossing roads. One could go resto-hopping from one place to another, from loud music to relaxing atmosphere. It only takes a few steps to get to the next place. El Pueblo is another convergeance of different hang-outs. The keyword to areas such as this is accesibility. Bored with lounging and listening to music? Step out of the door and a whole new gimik flaunts itself at you.
